Hey Dire...

Where in VT are you getting hitched? I would look up the Dave Grippo Funk Band...they are in the area and I believe still do weddings...they kick serious butt.

This is my neck of the woods and i'll get back to you w/other local suggestions if you're still looking.

OK...first, congrats!

Second, i checked w/my wife and she was not mad at me that I had forgotten the name of the band that played our wedding (we got married in Grand Isle, VT in 2004)...but they were FANTASTIC!

Look up the PHIL ABAIR BAND...if they're still around and will do your wedding, I promise you it will be a huge hit...they play everything from funk to jazz, and even did a kick-ass version of "Iko Iko" for my Dead Head friends. Horn section, female and male vocalists...they were everything we could have hoped for...everyone was dancing up til the very last song.

Good luck whatever you choose, and Mazel Tov to you and your bride!

What does your soon-to-be wife know about the posters
of Elsie the cow that are up in the garage?

i now have the posters hidden within a small enclave deep within the basement. it is my secret utopian sanctuary of bovine carnal delight.
